share
After spending an exquisite time at Suiran, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kyoto,
Wanting to immerse myself in this tranquility a little longer, I ventured deeper into Arashiyama.
Passing through the bamboo forest and listening to the murmuring of the river,
A relaxing stroll and an encounter with carefully prepared Kyoto cuisine.
This blog will share with you the special time you spend in Arashiyama, gently enveloping you in the afterglow of your trip.

Enjoy a relaxing lunch at a famous restaurant surrounded by the greenery of the mountains | [Shorai-an]
Listening to the murmuring of the Hozugawa River, you will come across Shouraian , a hideaway-like place, at the end of a mountain path lined with swaying green maples.
We were served a kaiseki banquet meal that carefully included small portions of seasonal ingredients. The hot pot of fresh yuba was so delicate that it melted the moment we put it in our mouths, and it was so delicious that we couldn't help but sigh.
Each item has the breath of the season and the beauty of the artisan's handiwork .
The food served in the quiet space was so gentle that it almost made me forget time.

Enjoy the heartfelt Kyoto cuisine and relaxing hospitality | [Arashiyama Sakura]
For dinner, we went to Kyoto cuisine restaurant Arashiyama Sakura, located along the Katsura River.
Once you are ushered into a tasteful Japanese space, you will be greeted by a variety of beautiful Kyoto cuisine.
From appetizers to bowls, grilled dishes, and seasoned rice, everything is decorated with seasonal colors, and every bite is filled with deep flavor.
I was particularly impressed by the combination of the eel broth chazuke and the matcha and Japanese sweets that we had at the end. It was a relaxing experience at the end of our trip.
What impressed me most was the warm hospitality of the staff.
Their polite, friendly, and sincere attitude was very comforting, and it became a wonderful memory of my time in Kyoto.

A relaxing stroll through the nature of Arashiyama
A narrow path through the Sagano bamboo forest where green bamboo stretches into the sky, the Hozu River flowing through the valley, and the view of the trolley train running through it.
Each one was a world enveloped in a silence that made me forget the passage of time.
During our trip, we visited Okochi Sanso Garden , a place that was originally built as a villa for actor Okochi Denjiro.
As you climb each stone step, the view opens up and you'll be greeted with a spectacular view of Arashiyama, Mt. Hiei, and Hozukyo Gorge.
The moss-covered garden and Japanese architecture are in beautiful harmony in this space. As I sipped my matcha tea in the silence, it felt as if time had stopped.
We travel along tranquil roads on a Kyoto horse-drawn carriage, stopping at the Arashiyama Line station, which has a nostalgic feel to it...
Throughout my stay at Suiran, I once again realized that the town of Arashiyama itself is a place that can relax the mind and body.
