The St. Regis Bali The Ultimate Oasis
Bali is a place that everyone dreams of, and the St. Regis Bali offers a particularly luxurious stay. This place is a special space that will make you feel like you're in a dream.
I will write about my stay at the St. Regis Bali, which I consider to be one of the top three Mariotto hotels.
To the magnificent lagoon pool
The first thing that catches your eye upon arrival is the magnificent lagoon pool.
We arrived early and put on our fins and went for a swim in the lagoon while waiting for our room to be ready.
The view of palm trees against the blue sky is a tropical paradise. Swimming while looking out at the beautiful villas surrounding you is truly elegant and luxurious.
The gazebo and beach are elegant and relaxing spaces
Elegant gazebos are lined up around the Strand Pool. It's a relaxing space that all guests can use free of charge, but strangely enough, I've never seen it crowded. The cold mineral water and towels that are casually handed out are a welcome service.
The beach is right in front of the Strand Pool. The contrast between the red umbrellas, the blue sky, and the white sand beach is beautiful. This place is also quiet and private no matter when you look at it.
An unexpected surprise
We were informed that our room was ready, and our butler came to pick us up at the pool. We then got into a buggy and headed to the lobby, where an even more wonderful event awaited us. The general manager greeted us with a surprise bouquet to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Surprise champagne and cake are often brought to our room, but this unexpected and warm welcome truly touched us.
But the surprise didn't end there. As soon as we opened the door to the villa, we were greeted by a chocolate cake and another flower arrangement on the table! This triple gift really surprised us.
All-suite rooms
All rooms at the St. Regis are suites, and even the lowest-cost St. Regis Suite is a wonderful room, but if you stay during the off-season, you can get elite benefits and be upgraded to a One-Bed Lagoon Villa or sometimes a One-Bed Beachfront Villa.
I often hear that there are too many Platinum members these days and that upgrades are not being given out very often, but if you are an Ambassador, you can expect a great upgrade here at the St. Regis.

1-Bed Lagoon Villa
Both villas have roughly the same layout and are each charming, but the one that really draws me is the Lagoon Villa. You can step directly into the water from the villa into the lagoon beyond the private pool, making it feel like you're living in a private oasis.
1-Bedroom Beachfront Villa
That said, the 1-bedroom beachfront villa is also very nice, and what I like most about this villa is the beauty and spaciousness of the private garden leading to the beach. It's hard to believe that this is the private garden of your room!
Both villa types have private gazebos, which create a lovely atmosphere in the evenings. Ask your butler for a cold drink and enjoy it here, and you'll feel truly elegant!
