share
Nara is an ancient city that was once the capital and is home to world heritage sites such as Todaiji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shrine.
The JW Marriott Hotel Nara, which opened in 2020 in this place surrounded by history and nature, is a luxury hotel that blends tranquility and sophistication.
This time, we will introduce you to a truly satisfying stay, from lounge stays that take advantage of elite member benefits, to dining where you can enjoy delicious food, and local experiences that are unique to Nara. We will also deliver a blog with real-life experiences of staying at the hotel .

Refined guest rooms where you can relax in high-quality comfort
The guest rooms feature a modern design with soft lighting and natural colors. The beds and sofas are comfortable enough to gently envelop you, allowing you to fully relax and unwind after a long day of travel.
The high-quality bedding and amenities are also excellent , and the JW Marriott's special lavender balm placed by the bedside is a soothing item with a subtle fragrance.
The guest room offers a view of the Nara cityscape, and on quiet mornings, natural light gently streams in, helping me wake up peacefully.

Enjoy special moments in the elite member lounge
A stay with lounge access will allow you to fully appreciate the value of JW Marriott Nara.
Check-in and check-out are smooth and easy at the dedicated counter. Afternoon tea and light meals are available during the day, and a full evening cocktail hour is also available in the evening, and the food is of excellent quality.
Especially in the evening, there was a wide selection of appetizers that went well with wine and local sake, making for a luxurious experience that felt like a mini dinner course.
A delicious breakfast made with rich local ingredients to start your day off right
The breakfast menu offers a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes.
In addition to a colorful salad bar and yogurt and granola, there is also a wide selection of small dishes typical of Nara and Japanese side dishes made with local vegetables . A beautifully arranged plate, as shown in the photo, naturally puts you in a good mood in the morning.
It was a refined breakfast experience that made me feel like I wanted to spend the rest of the day carefully.

Gourmet dining experience
The two restaurants within the hotel will make your stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Nara even more special.
A memorable kaiseki meal at Japanese restaurant "Azekura"
For lunch on the first day, we had a kaiseki course at the Japanese restaurant "Akura." Each dish was carefully prepared, showcasing the harmony of the seasonal colors and tableware, making it a feast for the eyes as well .
The presentation was elegant yet gorgeous, and when I tasted the food, I was amazed by the balance between the strength of the ingredients and the delicate technique used. Not only was it delicious, but the tranquility and warmth that permeated the entire space made it a memorable experience .

Silk Road Dining's elegant lunch course
The next day, we enjoyed a course meal at Silk Road Dining for lunch. As the name suggests, the meal was composed of a diverse mix of East and West, with each dish being of a high level of perfection, giving us the feeling of being "rewarded" while traveling .
Everything from the fresh vegetables and juicy meat dishes to the delicate sauces was carefully prepared, and even though it was just lunch, there was a sense of fulfillment as we were able to leisurely enjoy the afterglow of the course.

Relaxation in the city. Pool & Jacuzzi
The pool, exclusively for hotel guests, has a quiet and calm atmosphere . It is large enough for a comfortable swim, allowing you to relax and unwind.
The attached jacuzzi had a comfortable temperature and water flow, making it a place you'll want to visit multiple times during your stay.
Exploring Nara is also one of the pleasures
Nara Park is about a 30-minute walk from the hotel, and is also within easy reach of Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Kofuku-ji Temple. Taking a walk with the deer in the cool morning hours is a unique experience only found in Nara.
Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is a city that perfectly fits the description of "surrendering yourself to eternal time."
