Da Nang Marriott Resort & Spa Accommodation Experience: Local Sightseeing | Da Nang's "Local Memories" Surrounded by Prayer, Passion, and Delicious Food

Da Nang is a port city in central Vietnam, where the sea and sky stretch out endlessly, bathed in soft sunlight, and nature and culture, history and modernity blend seamlessly together.
The base of our stay was the Da Nang Marriott Resort & Spa.
Unlike the "magical nostalgia" I felt in Hoi An, Da Nang offers a sense of openness and vibrant charm that is unique to the city. Food, faith, and the world of artisans—these are all quietly present in everyday life, and the more you visit, the more you will be drawn in. This blog will share my experience of staying in Da Nang.

If you want to enjoy food in Da Nang, try the bounty of the sea and nighttime entertainment

If you visit Da Nang, a port city in central Vietnam, the first thing you should try is the seafood and the excitement of the night.
The beauty of the sea is not the only attraction of this area. The lively local restaurants and entertaining beach bars offer flavors and experiences that can only be found here.

The sea around Da Nang is a treasure trove of seafood, including shrimp, crab, squid, and shellfish.
One dish you should definitely try is the "Steamed Clams with Lemongrass." The refreshing aroma of lemongrass and the delicious flavor of plump clams are an exquisite match, and paired with iced beer on a hot day, it's truly a blissful dish.
Its simple yet profound flavor, which is also well-suited to Japanese palates, makes it one of the local delicacies you should try at least once during your stay in Da Nang.

While sophisticated restaurants aimed at tourists are wonderful, visiting local shops where you can enjoy local flavors and prices is also a great pleasure of traveling to Da Nang. Here we will introduce spots where you can experience such "local food" and the bustling nightlife.

Quán Hải Sản Bé Anh: A restaurant filled with local vitality and flavor

Quán Hải Sản Bé Anh is a popular restaurant frequented by both tourists and locals, where you can enjoy the unpretentious atmosphere unique to Vietnam and fresh seafood dishes to your heart's content.

Among the dishes, the "Nghêu nướng mỡ hành (Grilled Clams with Green Onion Oil)" is a must-try. This dish features fragrantly grilled clams topped with hot green onion oil, fried garlic, and plenty of peanuts, and is seasoned with a local flavor that brings out the umami of the ingredients. Pair it with an iced beer and you'll be right at home enjoying a laid-back Da Nang night.

The warm energy that only local restaurants like these have and the surprisingly reasonable prices are sure to leave a lasting impression on your travels with their delicious food.

Lounge Beach Bar: A nighttime experience that indulges all your senses

If you want to fully enjoy Da Nang's nightlife, head to Lounge Beach Bar.
Located right next to the white sand beach, this cafe and bar is an open and airy seaside cafe during the day, and transforms into an extraordinary space filled with shows and music at night.

As the sun sets, fire dancing and live music begin inside the bar. The flames and music light up the sand, and the cocktails are tropical in color.
Here you can enjoy a special moment where you can experience a "night of travel" with your whole body.

It's the perfect place to end a day of sightseeing, and is recommended for those who want to spend a memorable night.

A tourist spot where you can surrender yourself to the tranquility of faith and nature

If you visit Da Nang, be sure to visit the Marble Mountains and Lady Buddha.

Marble Mountains

Located in the southern part of Da Nang City, the Marble Mountains are about a 15-minute walk from the Da Nang Marriott Resort. With easy access, they are one of the highlights of Da Nang tourism.

This mountain is made up of five hills, "metal, wood, water, fire, and earth," based on the five elements of Japanese philosophy. Among these, the most famous is "Mizuyama," and you can take an elevator up to the summit. We recommend visiting early in the morning, when it is relatively empty and you can enjoy the quiet atmosphere while climbing and strolling around.

From the top of the mountain, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the white sands of Non Nuoc Beach and Da Nang city. Along the way, you will see Buddha statues enshrined in caves and ancient moss-covered temples, creating a mystical atmosphere.

One of the most impressive features is the "Phantom Cave," where natural light pours in through cracks in the ceiling. The way the light gently illuminates the Buddha statues creates a divine setting. The "Yin Phu Cave," once a hidden secret base during the war, also remains, making it not only a beautiful site, but also a special place where Vietnamese history and faith are intertwined.

The Marble Mountains are a sacred place where nature, culture, and faith all intersect, truly representing Vietnam in miniature. It is not just a place for sightseeing, but also a place that will leave you with a deep emotional connection.

Lady Buddha (Linh Ung Pagoda)

Towering over the Son Tra Peninsula is a gigantic 67-meter-tall statue of Guanyin, commonly known as the "Lady Buddha." This statue is located at Linh Ung Pagoda, one of the three temples in Da Nang city, and is the most famous of the three.
A beautiful garden, a terrace with a spectacular view overlooking the sea at sunset... Time flows peacefully as you are enveloped in the space where the solemn atmosphere of a place of worship blends with the tranquility of the sea and greenery.

Summary | Experience the charm of Da Nang by walking around the city

Enjoy the time you spend in a quiet villa nestled by the sea, and discover the sights and flavors of the vibrant city.
My stay at the Da Nang Marriott Resort & Spa was a pleasant blend of stillness and activity.

Wake up to the chirping of birds in the morning, savor the bounty of the sea during the day, and spend quiet time in a place of prayer at dusk.
At night, join in the local excitement and enjoy a cocktail with music.
Each scene was imbued with the soft atmosphere and energy of the city of Da Nang.

While you are enjoying a quality stay at the hotel, be sure to take a step outside and experience the local pulse of this city.
A sacred place where faith is deeply rooted, and the delicious food culture of people who live alongside the sea.
Each and every one of these experiences will make Da Nang a more three-dimensional place, making your trip even more memorable.

Someday, by this gentle sea.
It was a stay that left me with such memories that I suddenly wanted to go home.
