Sekochi is the main dining area of the Perhentian Marriott Resort & Spa, an open-terrace style restaurant where you can enjoy the island's fresh seafood to your heart's content.
The space blends traditional Asian design with resort style, and its location right next to the adults-only pool makes it a comfortable place to drop in after relaxing by the water.
During the day, the tropical sun shines brightly, so it can feel a little hot at lunchtime, but as dusk approaches, the sea breeze begins to blow through, making the terrace seats much more comfortable. Dinnertime, as the sun sets and the sky changes color to reflect the ocean, is truly a luxurious moment you can only experience at a resort .
The joy of "selecting, grilling, and tasting" fresh seafood
At dinnertime, a variety of seafood, including lobster, crab, scallops, and white fish caught that morning, is lined up on the ice bed. For dessert after the meal, there is a counter lined with gelato and cut fruit, which is so satisfying it's hard to believe it's morning.
You can choose from several types of gelato, mainly tropical flavors. We also recommend pairing it with sliced tropical fruit. You can enjoy an ensemble of tropical sweets, and the variety is sure to satisfy even children.

What was particularly impressive throughout my stay was the warm welcome I received from the staff when boarding the ferry and upon arrival .
On board, the thoughtful touches that transformed the travel time itself into a special experience were impressive, such as priority seating for Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador members and suggestions for commemorative photos with the crystal-clear ocean as a backdrop. The resort's front desk team also welcomed each guest with warm service, from welcoming them with ethnic music upon arrival to preparing a special dessert plate for the anniversary.
These special moments that mark the beginning and end of a trip may be what leave a lasting impression on your resort experience.
